Tensor Categories

Tensor categories provide a unifying language for several areas of modern algebra. They abstract the fundamental structural features of categories of representations of groups

and Hopf algebras and furnish a natural setting for quantum groups, categorification, and generalized symmetries. The minicourse will introduce the basic structure theory of tensor categories, with emphasis on fusion and braided fusion categories, fundamental examples, and classification problems.
