Summer 2002

The first AARMS Summer School was held on the campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's, Newfoundland, from July 22 through August 16, 2002. Twenty-two students from six countries took courses offered by faculty from Sao Paulo to Strathclyde. Here's what was offered.

In addition, on the evening of Tuesday August 13, a warm summer's night, over 85 people attended a public lecture by Dr. Douglas R. Stinson of the Department of Combinatorics and Optimization at the University of Waterloo. A renowned expert in the field of cryptography, nobody was more qualified to talk on the subject The Past, Present and Future of Cryptography.

Our Students
